Installation Instructions:

IF YOU ARE RUNNING ANDROID 5.1 (FIRMWARE 101 - 108) YOU MUST INSTALL TWO FIRMWARES, STAGES 1 & 2.

IF YOU ARE ALREADY RUNNING THE ANDROID 7 BETA FIRMWARE (200) YOU ONLY NEED TO INSTALL ONE FIRMWARE, STAGE 2.

STAGE 1. Migrate from Android 5.1 to Android 7

1. Extract update.zip (using an unzip program like 7zip, winzip etc) from Q10_PRO_ANDROID_5.1_TO_ANDROID_7_MIGRATION_FIRMWAR E.zip to the root of a FAT32 formatted USB pen drive. (the USB pen drive should contain a single file called 'update.zip').
2. Insert the USB pen drive into any USB port of Q10 Pro.
3. With Q10 Pro turned off, use a paper clip or pen to press and hold the the pinhole UPGRADE button on the back of Q10 Pro (next to the power port).
4. While keeping the UPGRADE button pressed, turn on the Q10 Pro.
5. Q10 Pro will show the Android 7 coloured circle upgrade logo.
6. When you see the coloured circle upgrade logo you can release the restore button.
7. A progress bar will indicate update progress. Do not turn box off or use the box/remote during update!
8. When update is complete the box will automatically reboot.
9. First boot will take 3-5 minutes. The box will reboot into Android 7 migration firmware. Allow boot to complete.

già felice possessore del Q5, sto attendendo il pro, mi sono infatti iscritto sul sito HIMEDIA per le notizie e per l'acquisto non appena possibile .
Immagino che maggior qualità potrà offrire in più' rispetto a quello attuale ...
Una cosa non riesco a sapere, ma sarà compatibile con NETFLIX 4K , oppure bisognerebbe per forza prendere la shield che mi sembra l'unico media player a poterlo fare ???

NETFLIX 4K è certificato solo su Andorid TV e serve la porta HDMI certifica DHCP 2.2 , il q10 pro monta Android OS 5.1.1 anche se hisilicon nuovo supporta anche lunix e android tv.

Sto valutando l'acquisto di uno tra q5 e q10, che al momento si trovano rispettivamente a 130 e 156 euro. Secondo voi quanto ci vorrà per il q10 pro?200 euro?

In generale, considerando che non ho bisogno del vano HD, meglio il q5 o il q10?

penso che entro i prossimi 10 / 15 giorni potremo conoscere il prezzo del Q10 pro che io mi immagino ( poi magari mi sbaglio ) sia poco sotto i 200 , anche per non superare la soglia psicologica .
poi, facendo un rapporto con il Q5 e il Q10 attuali, avremo di conseguenza una valutazione "alla casareccia" anche per il prossimo Q5 pro ...

ancora un po' di pazienza, e cmq se non ti serve il vano per l'HD vai tranquillo sul Q5 ( attuale o pro, ma per il secondo dovrai aspettare ) .

Io rimango tranquillamente alla finestra e aspetto l'arrivo del Q5 il 21 di aprile...poi vediamo x un'altro mese il tutto sui forum e x maggio ci facciamo il regalo,cosi l'altro che ho lo porto in camera e lo collego al Plasma Pioneer 50 pollici Full HD Monitor,credo che mi ringrazierà,dopo aver passato anni indecenti con la WD Tv Live,ora gli collegherò un degno successore e compagno x il Video e l'audio !!!!!

Q10 Pro samples have been in the hands of Testers across the world for about 2 weeks. The good news is that the early firmware is excellent and close to everything works as expected.

Image quality surpasses expectations. The new HiSilicon ExpressEngine2 is an advance on the previous generation and image quality exceeds that of Q5/Q10 4K3D.

Just to calibrate your guys' expectations, upon public release, Q10 Pro will be rather similar to current-gen Q5/Q10, but w/faster performance, better 4K playback (10-bit + HDR) & 192KHz support (no down-sampling). 3D ISO and HD audio playback pretty much like with current-gen. There's also the new Imprex 2.0 image processing engine, but will comment on it later in full review. Like with Darbee Darblet, whether you like it or not, or depending on which levels you adjust to, is highly subjective. As with current-gen, some with find PQ too 'digital' or contrasty, but I suspect most will like the added punch (as it doesn't introduce edge enhancement or halos unless you over-apply it, again same as w/Darbee).

In realtà a livello di media player video già la shield perde col q5 attuale.. Figurati con questo.. La shield usa il lettore interno di kodi che come fluidità e qualità video è ridicolo... Gli himedia usano kodi come gestore e il player himedia come lettore...

Beh io possiedo il Q5 quindi credimi parlo per esperienza... La genialata di avere kodi per tutto ma di bypassare il lettore interno con uno "serio" rende Himedia imbattibile per chi cerca la qualità video...
