Recensione Harry Potter e la Pietra filosofale ULTIMATE EDITION:

Iniziamo con i lati positivi di questa edizione:
- bellissimo il packaging
- una marea di contenuti extra
- presenti entrambe le versioni in seamless branching
- nuovo video
- audio inglese in DTS-HD Master 5.1/6.1

E quelle negative:
- audio italiano in Dolby Digital 5.1 (448 Kbps)

BD ANCORA DA VISIONARE: prime impressioni

Video: HP e la pietra filosofale è il film più "vecchio" della serie. Il film risale al 2001 e malgrado l'intenso uso di CGI non ha beneficiato di una post produzione in DI. Premetto quindi che mi aspetto che questo BD sia il più debole della serie sotto il profilo video. Per questa Ultimate Edition Warner prende mano al video e ci offre un upgrade. Ovviamente per un film del 2001 non viene di certo cercato un master migliore o altro. Però viene migliorata la resa cromatica, il livello del nero, il dettaglio e la pulizia in generale. Il tutto poi ha subito un nuovo encoding in VC-1 a bitrate più sostenuto rispetto alla precedente uscita, sfruttando così un BD da 50 GB, che prima invece era stato fatto un port dello stesso file del relativo HD-DVD. Video dunque nettamente migliore rispetto alla prima uscita? No, però IMHO il miglioramento c'è e fa capire che probabilmente di più non si poteva fare.
Ulteriori considerazioni dopo la visione.

Audio: audio italiano in Dolby Digital 5.1. Come nella prima uscita in BD il bitrate è a 448 Kbps. Onestamente, visto che stiamo parlando di Warner, non mi aspettavo di certo un upgrade

Dopo le premesse del post #6 ecco la
RECENSIONE COMPLETA:
visionata la versione estesa

Video: ovviamente prima di spendere del denaro per questa edizione mi sono ben informato sulla qualità di questo episodio nella precedente uscita in BD. Ne è uscito che questo è l'episodio più criticato. Non contento (e fiducioso di un upgrade video in questa versione) ho proceduto all'acquisto. Partiamo dal giudizio complessivo: se dovessi dare un voto gli darei come MINIMO 8, mediamente 8.5. Molte sequenze sono da 8.5, altre da 9. Poche per fortuna sono quelle più scarse. Prima tra tutte la scena iniziale. Succesivamente qualche breve momento in qualche scena "difficile" (buia). Eccetto questi brevi momenti il trasferimento è ottimo e molto cinema-like. Non fatevi ingannare dal voto di certe sequenze (8.5 o 9 che sia). Non troverete la stessa "qualità" di HP e l'ordine della fenice. Come ho detto la resa è totalmente diversa, ma comunque piacevole. Voti a parte, per un amante della saga un'edizione da avere assolutamente

Audio: per quanto sia un "misero" Dolby Digital a 448 Kbps, questa traccia fa il suo lavoro, e devo dire anche bene Voto: 8

Assolutamente d'accordo con Vincent per la quanto riguarda la parte video.
Non mi trovo concorde invece sull'audio,IMHO un DD moscio e un po sfiatato in molte sequenze. Non ci siamo,la saga di HP meriterebbe ben altro trattamento audio anche per le tracce localizzate.
Ragazzi,siamo ormai nel 2010,non se ne puo' piu' davvero di queste tracce da dvd.

Onestamente l'ho ascoltato ad un volume spinto e la mia impressione è stata molto buona.

Ragazzi,siamo ormai nel 2010,non se ne puo' piu' davvero di queste tracce da dvd.

Parlavo della Ultimate Vincent
Per quanto riguarda l'audio,mi sento preso in giro a spendere 50 euro (tanto costano le Ultimate!) per avere un simile trattamento audio
I dvd erano a 384? Se Warner potesse inserirebbe un bel 192 kbps proprio come degli "ottimi" Divx...
