... sembra che la PH abbia favorito i distributori europei e quindi le spedizioni verso i nostri rivenditori siano già in viaggio, dovrebbero arrivare nella prossima settimana se non ci sono ritardi. • Does the C-200 support the use of the harmony/universal remotes?
  To use IR you will need an additional IR receiver sold as an add on to the C-200 which comes as an IR eye and IR remote, the standard unit out of the box only supports the PCH RF remote that is paired with the device on setup. Upon connecting the IR receiver the RF function is disabled.

• Does the unit support Bluray?
  The unit will play retail Blu-ray discs with the addition of a SATA BD-rom. This can only be done through HDMI or component, playback is not officially supported through composite. It is not known if retail discs will play from a USB BD rom.

• Can I attach an HD-DVD and BD-ROM combo drive and play retail HD-DVD's?
  HD-DVD will not be supported as the chipset from Sigma doesn't support HD-DVD, but BD is fully supported.

• Will the unit play BD backups/BD ISO with menus etc?
  Yes it will. Rips must be made with software such as anyDVD HD or DVDfab.

• Does the C-200 have a fan?
  There is no fan, as it is not required (60mm can be added by user if wanted; one CPU_FAN and one BACK_FAN).

• Can I install more RAM?
  DDR2 RAM is not upgradable, there is no need for more RAM than the device is supplied with.

• Can I use a CF card and adapter instead of a HDD?
  several cards that worked in the A series have now been tested and shown to not currently work with FW 090904.

• What is the internal USB connector?
  It is a standard USB slot intended for use when using a BD ROM and no internal HDD. BD Live requires 2GB of memory, and this internal USB has been provided to give the user more options to provide that memory without the need for a HDD.
  1.) Format an USB Stick with 2GB or more to fat32 or ext3
  2.) create directories "bdj/ada/" and "bdj/buda" (case sensitive) on the Stick
  3.) plug in the USB devices and will be automatically mounted as PERSISTFS
  4.) Now you can playback BD's with BD-J and BD Live

• Will the C-200 support my HD files with High@L5.1?
  No it cannot claim support for AVC High@L5.1 level as that spec reaches >300mb/s. It will play some HP@L5.1 files.

• Can I power up C-200 by remote?
  Unlike the A-110/100, the C-200 supports full power up/down by remote.

• Qual'è la velovcità reale della LAN?
  For file transfer over a 10/100Mbit Network by FTP, 12MB/sec is proven for up/download.
  Over Samba you can currently expect 12MB/sec upload to the C-200, but download from the C-200 is currently only operating at 6MB/sec.
  This may be improved with FW updates before/after release. Gigabit speeds will obviously be faster but currently no values have been given.

• Does the C-200 have a USB slave port?
  No. But it has USB hosts. See specifications at http://www.popcornhour.com

• Does the C-200 have a web browser?
  No, although this does not mean that it does not have the capabilities to have one in the future.

• Does the C200 have WiFi built-in?
  No it does not as not everyone wants/needs it, so if you do have a need then you will need a wireless mini-pci card. The B110 had one so if you look in that section you will find more details on mini-pci networking. The spec is not known yet but we expect Atheros WiFi 'N' based card.

• What is the Antenna on the back for then?
  It is for the RF remote control. When inserting a mini-pci card you usually get the associated antennas. There are mounting holes for 3 antennas on the back of the C200 case

• Will WiFi be as slow as the A110?
  No. The A110 is USB not mini-Pci, we hope for at least double the speed.

• Can u record with the tuner?
  Yes you can watch and record with the tuner its a double tuner for the t441 and simple tuner for t331

Mi hai battuto sul tempo, cmq LO VOGLIO.

Ottimo alimentatore interno, possibilità di spegnerlo da dietro, speriamo che esca anche una versione con decoder dtt integrato

1. mi spiace.... ma meglio così o ci trovevamo con 4 topic uguali sparsi x il forum... poi sai come si incaxxano i mod???

2. assomiglia paurosamente al mio Kiss DP600

3. secondo me inizia a diventare un pò troppo "MediaCenter", aspetto di vederlo dal vivo x il giudizio finale..... ma dubito che per ora possa pensare di acquistarlo.

4. dalle foto deduco che (a prima impressione e tanto x fare il pignolo):
- l'antennina fissa se la prendi dentro si rompe e son caxxi
- nelle feritoie ci sta sicuramente una ventolina da 50/60mm, quindi c'è da presupporre che con un HDD interno scaldi come gli attuali PH e quindi sarà da valutare una ventola x smaltire il calore in eccesso.
- la cover superiore mi sa tanto da "lamieretta fine fine" che se gli metti qualcosa sopra si piega
- il telecomando finalmente sembra retro-illuminato come quelli meliconi
- quel display cmq secondo me è odioso.... di notte deve dare un fastidio assurdo. non potevano fare un oled o qlc del genere???
- potevano mettere un copri-sportellino nel caso di lettore BDR come fanno coi pc assemblati. era meno odioso da vedere esteticamente.

Qui vorrei fare una speculazione personale che deriva dall'analisi dei precedenti prodotti e dall'attuale sigla.

Io credo che il C200 sia solo il top di gamma di una linea di prododdi che comprenderà anche la scheda madre B200 e molto probabilmente in un secondo tempo un A200 probabilmente mooolto compatto, senza LCD e senza supporto per gli HD interni ma solo con una eSata esterna e la riproduzione Networked.

Ripeto sono solo speculazioni e vedremo se si avvereranno, ma sono fiducioso.

Peccato solo che ancora non vedo il supporto ai sottotitoli pgs.

Hanno spiegato nella presentazione che dato che questo C200 supporterà nativamente i BR sia in formato ISO su hard disk che in formato BD-Rom da unità interna collegata e che dato che i sottotitoli pgs sono mandatory nelle specifiche del BR significa che il C200 li supporta.

credo sarà difficile dato che utilizza il chip 8643 senza funzioni pvr.
mettere un decoder dtt e non poter registrare sarebbe parecchio strano.
se un domani uscisse una versione con il chip 8645 allora sarebbe plausibile il DTT e il PVR.

... si, cmq si legge che le "classi" A, B e C siano dedicate a 3 fasce di utenza/prezzi diversi.
... effettivamente l'andazzo sembra proprio quello e non sarebbe sbagliato in linea generale, ma ai fini pratici quanto è producente una suddivisione del genere??? ... secondo me sarebbe + sensato che il "A" ed il "B" si evolvano nel "C".
... rischiano di darsi una mazzata sui piedi e di trovarsi con troppi prodotti sul mercato.
