  Questo tipo di servizio, per quanto mi riguarda, potrà avere un senso quando il materiale offerto sarà pari alla qualità di un Blu-Ray (quindi 1080p + DTS HDMA) e ci sarà la possibilità di scaricarlo preventivamente su HDD slegandosi completamente dai limiti imposti dalla connessione.
  Ho appena controllato il sito e si può dire che tutti i film che propongono li abbia già visti alle condizioni che ho indicato poco sopra perciò non vedo un solo motivo valido per cui dovrei tornare indietro (qualitativamente parlando). Se devo proprio sottostare a quelle condizioni mi acquisto un film su Primafila (che oltretutto ha un bitrate più alto).

  Poco utile per me
  
  Ho il noleggiatore a 2km ( e l'enoteca a 1,5 :-) ).Con 2 euro mi noleggio un blu ray.Poi i film se mi interessano li acquisto,ed e' un piacere avere un collezione che si ama dal quale attingere.Saro' retro' ma amo il supporto fisico per tutto,anche per i libri.

  bè negli stati uniti, internet via cavo (re delle connessioni, ricordatevi che l'antenna terrestre non sanno neanche cos'è..) ha una velocità media di 8-9Mbps su base nazionale. Qui in Italia abbiamo una media di 2Mbps. Oh, ovviamente esclusi gli sfortunati come me che devono sorbirsi ancora il 56k, altrimenti la media finiva sotto soglie da terzo mondo.

  Ho appena creato un account per Vudu e Ultraviolet dai Paesi Bassi (ho usato un account email di gmail e ha assunto che il mio paese fossero gli Stati Uniti). Alla creazione dell'account viene regalato un titolo in SD da una selezione di una ventina di titoli.
  Il film può sia essere scaricato per la visione offline che trasmesso in streaming. I requisiti di banda per le varie qualità sono
  1 Mbps per qualità SD (480p)
  2.25 Mbps per qualità HD Light (720p)
  4.5 Mbps per qualità Full HD (1080p)

  Anche l'account di Flixster e quello di Universal Hi Def possono essere collegati a quello di VUDU/UltraViolet per gestire tutti i contenuti attraverso un solo digital locker... molto positivo!

  No charge for continued access to the license (ultraviolet digital locker). This is good.
  Service providers my charge for continued cloud access (eg Flixster / Vudu / the people that actually *stream* the file). This is bad.
  Sometimes the license is only in SD (I haven't seen it specified on the outside of the package). This sucks.
  *Compatible Devices Subject to change*, ie your set-top box that played it last week might not play it anymore. This is horrible!
